Jalpaiguri – Coochbehar Match Evenly Poised in CAB Cricket Tournament in Siliguri

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 7^th March, 2017: The second match of CAB conducted Group A of Inter-District Senior Cricket tournament 2016-17 started from today at Chandmoni Cricket Ground here in Siliguri. Jalpaiguri District Cricket Association (JDSA) took on Coochbehar District Cricket Association (CDCA). CDCA won the toss and Captain Joy Routh elected to bat first. In the first innings, CDSA repeated their form in the first match against SMKP. They were all out in 59.3 overs with 152 runs on the board. Only middle order batsman Pintu Routh had a remarkable score. He was just out 5 runs short of his hundred. Apart from him, the others fell like a pack of cards. Most of them even failed to cross the 10 run mark. In the bowling, Abhijit Biswas got a 3 wicket haul. The second innings started today itself. However, JDSA was also following same footsteps of CDSA. 3 wickets were out in 17.2 overs bowled. Presently JDSA stands in a score of 24 runs in 3 wickets. Henceforth, the match is evenly poised now.
